The Embassy has a limited budget for small scale and short term projects in Pakistan. This budget is available for projects that concern development, poverty reduction, health, gender, etc. (ODA) and other projects that concern the strengthening of ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands, for example cultural projects (Non-ODA).
The conditions and criteria for projects are:
the duration of the proposed activity should not exceed 12 months and the proposal has to be submitted to the Embassy in English.
the requested amount per proposal should not exceed PKR 3 million (2010)
the activity has to contribute to development efforts in Pakistan
the proposal must be submitted and executed by an organisation, not an individual
an organisation is only eligible for funding once every 5 years
Additional condition non-ODA projects (cultural and
other):
the objective and results of the proposal have to contribute to the strengthening of mutual relations between the Netherlands and Pakistan, for example in the field of culture, sports etc.
The proposal must contain the following:
the overall objective of the activity
the results to be achieved by the activity
the proposed project period
description of the organisation executing the the project
description of the capacity of the organisation
total costs of the project and amount requested from the Embassy
contact details of the organisation
the proposal has to be accompanied by a budget and activity planning/time frame.
the currency to be used is PKR
General information and deadlines
The deadline for sending in proposals is April 1st of each year. The next deadline is 1 April 2011.
The Embassy has a right to turn down proposals without
further discussion.
Payments will be made in two disbursements: 80% of the total budget will be disbursed after the signing of the contract. The remaining amount (based on actual expenditure as per final report and with a a maximum of the remaining 20% of the total budget) will be disbursed after reception and approval of the final narrative and financial report.
Under the conditions of the funds, no travel expenses for study or participation in workshops, courses, classes or meetings of members of the executing organisation can be financed.
